LandAid SleepOut 2025 sees over 1,200 property professionals come together to make change

Last Thursday, over 1,200 property professionals came together for the LandAid SleepOut 2025, braving a night outside across eight UK locations—Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, London, and for the first time, Liverpool. This flagship event is more than a challenge; it’s a powerful statement from the property industry, uniting to create meaningful change.

Youth homelessness is at record levels – and rising. According to the latest Centrepoint data, over 118,000 young people in the UK faced homelessness in 2023-24—a 10% rise from the previous year. The way we count has changed, but the reality is clear: more young people need our help than ever before. That’s why the support of every single participant, sponsor, and donor is so vital. Together, to date we’ve raised over £600,000 to help change young lives. This figure continues to rise and donations are still being accepted for those who would like to show their support.

The LandAid SleepOut gives participants a small glimpse into the harsh reality faced by thousands of young people across the UK every night.

But beyond the challenge itself, it’s an opportunity to connect, network, and unite as an industry to make a lasting impact. The collective effort of our participants and supporters will directly fund projects providing safe, secure housing and essential services for young people in need.

On the night across all locations there were some brilliant speakers from charities who have been supported through LandAid funding. This included both support workers and young people who have experienced the reality of homelessness.

Thank you to Local Solutions, 1625 Independent People, Concrete Rose, Rowan Alba, Latch, and Look Ahead.

This year, LandAid took an extra step towards sustainability by partnering with Trees not Tees. Participants had the choice between receiving branded merchandise or putting the cost towards planting a tree—and the response was incredible. Thanks to this initiative, over 600 trees have been planted, reducing the environmental impact of the event while continuing to drive positive change.

We want to extend our gratitude to our venue sponsors: Bruntwood in Birmingham, Cabot Circus Bristol, Cambridge University Rugby Union Football Club, Hibernian FC in Edinburgh, Firwood Waterloo Rugby Club in Liverpool, Victoria Leeds, URW in London, and Depot Mayfield in Manchester. Your support was invaluable in making this event a success.

A huge thank you to our sponsors who made the SleepOut possible.

Our headline sponsor, Knight Frank, and our regional sponsors—Birketts in Cambridge, Simmons & Simmons in Bristol, TFT in Edinburgh, HBD in Leeds, Cushman & Wakefield in Manchester, Hill Dickinson in Liverpool, and Segro in London —played a key role in ensuring the success of the event.

Special thanks also to Hunter Ops, London Decal and The Luxury Property Forum for supporting with signage.

The LandAid SleepOut 2025 may be over, but the fight to end youth homelessness continues.

More young people than ever before need our help, and we cannot do it alone. If you weren’t able to take part this year, there’s still time to make a difference and support those who took part. Donate today and be part of the solution.
