LandAid strengthens Board with four new Trustees

LandAid has appointed four new Trustees to its Board: Nick Sanderson (GPE), Joanne McNamara (Oxford Properties), Olivia Harris (Dolphin Living), and Apwinder Foster (Savills Investment Management).

Together, they bring a wealth of experience and fresh insight that will enhance the charity’s strategic leadership at a critical time in the fight against youth homelessness.

The appointments come as LandAid accelerates the delivery of its five-year strategy, with the aim of supporting 10,000 young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness by 2030. Last year, over 118,000 young people approached their local council for help with homelessness – a 10% rise from the previous year. In the last 12 months alone, LandAid awarded over £1.5 million in grants and unlocked over £1 million in pro bono support from the property industry, positively impacting more than 1,400 young lives.

Neil Slater, Chair of LandAid’s Board and CEO of Redevco, led the Trustee appointment process. He said: “We are delighted to welcome Nick, Joanne, Olivia and Apwinder to the Board. Each of them brings extensive expertise, insight and leadership from across the property sector and beyond. Their contributions will be vital in guiding LandAid through the next stage of its strategic development, ensuring strong governance and helping us maximise our impact across the UK.”

Paul Morrish, CEO of LandAid, added: “I feel genuinely lucky to be welcoming Nick, Joanne, Olivia and Apwinder to our Board. Each one of them brings something different – experience, energy, perspective, ideas – and all of them bring a clear commitment to our mission. I know they’ll challenge me and the team, and I welcome that. Just as importantly, I know they’ll support us, and help LandAid reach more young people who urgently need a safe place to call home.”

The new Trustees join an already diverse and experienced Board made up of senior figures from across the UK property industry and charitable sector. The Board oversees the charity’s governance and supports key projects through its sub-committees on finance, risk, grants, and fundraising.

These appointments also reflect LandAid’s commitment to maintaining a strong and dynamic Board through its rotation system. Trustees serve an initial three-year term, with the possibility of reappointment. The recent selection process, supported pro bono by Per Ardua, ensured a robust and inclusive approach to bringing new voices and skills into the charity’s leadership.

As LandAid looks ahead, its focus remains clear: to unite the property industry to end youth homelessness. This is not only a time of strategic growth but a moment to reflect on a proud legacy – with 2026 marking LandAid’s 40th anniversary. Since its founding, LandAid has been a unique force for good in the sector, demonstrating the power of the property industry to come together and create lasting social impact. The strength and diversity of its Board will be central to delivering this vision and creating lasting change for thousands of young people across the UK.
