Last week LandAid’s President, Mike Slade, received an OBE for services to LandAid. This included a £1million donation he made to the LandAid House appeal, which was revealed yesterday.
Mike Slade, OBE and President of LandAid said: ‘LandAid House is the kind of big project we can just point to, and it needed that sort of input to make it happen. It was an obvious one, and very important to me. We’ve topped it out and I’m looking forward to seeing the finished result.”
Opening in Autumn 2019, LandAid House will provide 146 bedrooms for young people at risk of becoming homeless, as well as advice on housing, education, training and well-being.
