Partner Spotlight: Hollis

For more than 12 years, Hollis has been a steadfast supporter of LandAid, raising an incredible £178,000.

These funds have supported 1,000’s of young people into safe housing and employment who were at risk of homelessness. Their commitment has also been recognised with an uplift to Cornerstone Partner status, and this year, two Hollis colleagues, Will Pasco and Ben Mack, joined our Regional Boards, helping drive awareness and fundraising in their local communities.

Why Hollis Supports LandAid

Why Hollis Supports LandAid

Hollis is an independent, international real estate consultancy with offices across the UK and Europe. With a focus on sustainability, people, and culture, Hollis is committed to creating long-term social value alongside commercial success.

“Everyone deserves a safe place to call home, and we all share a responsibility in making that a reality. Our partnership with LandAid reflects this belief. Taking part in the LandAid SleepOut was a powerful reminder of the urgency of the homelessness crisis in the UK and the vital role LandAid plays in tackling it. Their impact is real- but depends on continued support. That’s why our involvement is not just meaningful, it’s essential.”

Vicki Palmer, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility and Emerging Talent at Hollis

LandAid really strikes a chord. The energy, enthusiasm and commitment to alleviate and solve the horrendous problem of youth homelessness is inspirational. That’s why we choose to support their important work.

A Partnership of Impact

Over the years, Hollis and LandAid have worked together in a wide range of ways:

  • Supporting the LandAid Pro Bono Programme

Vicki Palmer, Head of Corporate Social, has secured £5,000 worth of professional expertise completely free of charge for two of our charity partners: Four Square Scotland and YMCA St Paul’s Group.

This included a conditions survey, as well as a dilapidations survey generously undertaken by Clare Holyoake, Associate at Hollis. Together, these services have provided vital insights to help strengthen and improve the charities’ services.

  • Fundraising

Hollis have consistently supported LandAid by getting involved in our events and proving themselves as a partner we can always rely on to step up to a challenge. Most recently, they joined the Race for LandAid in June, and earlier this year took part in the LandAid SleepOut in March, raising an amazing £2,500.

We are also delighted to be welcoming them to our Gala Dinner this November.

  • Shaping our Regional Boards

Recently Hollis have upped their investment via significant leadership through the Regional Boards, with Will Pasco (South West) and Ben Mack (Scotland) playing vital roles in raising awareness, driving engagement, and unlocking fundraising in their regions.

“I’m proud to support LandAid’s mission to end youth homelessness. It’s unacceptable that so many young and vulnerable people in the UK don’t have a secure place to call home, and it only feels right that we all do our bit to change that. I’ve taken part in fundraising efforts like the SleepOut, attended the Gala Dinner, and have recently joined the South West Regional Board, and continue to champion LandAid’s work across our region. It’s a cause that aligns closely with my values and Hollis’ commitment to social impact.”

“Along with Hollis, I’ve been involved with supporting the LandAid cause and their various fundraising events such as the SleepOut for many years now. Youth homelessness is a big problem and something that I see every day as I walk through central Edinburgh into work. I feel that if you are able to effect change, then you should act on that and that was one of the reasons why I chose to become involved in the Scotland Regional Board”

Why their support matters

Shelbie Walker, Senior Fundraising Officer and Hollis Account Manager, outlines why partnerships like this are more important than ever.

“Hollis have been committed supporters of LandAid for more than 12 years, which is truly incredible. Their consistency has made a real difference. Hollis colleagues taking part in our fundraising events, and provide local wisdom and leadership on our Regional Boards. From our operational contacts who work with us on the day to day, to the senior team who champion our mission at the highest level, this kind of organisational engagement fuels our work.”

Hollis’s commitment to our mission shows the power of partnership in tackling youth homelessness. Their new Cornerstone Partner status is both a celebration of the journey so far and a springboard for what comes next.

Looking forwards

Looking forwards

As our partnership with Hollis continues to grow, the future looks even brighter. Building on their commitment as a Cornerstone Partner, we will be working closely with Hollis to enhance the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and CSR strands of their business, ensuring LandAid remains a key part of how they deliver social value.

Looking ahead, Hollis is also exploring further opportunities to deliver more extensive pro bono projects in support of our charity partner network. By sharing their expertise and resources, these initiatives have the potential to create lasting impact, helping even more young people across the UK to find safe, secure homes.

It’s thanks to partners like Hollis that we can continue funding vital housing projects and creating brighter futures for young people facing homelessness. Their long-term commitment matters now more than ever, as we face an escalating crisis of youth homelessness across the UK.
