Political heavyweights line up for #LandAidDebate

Baroness Jenny Jones, former leader of the Green Party, is the latest high profile political figure to be added the panel for the #LandAidDebate on 5 February.

Jenny joins SDP founder and former Lib-Dem leader in the House of Lords Baroness Shirley Williams, former Labour Home Secretary the Rt Hon Alan Johnson MP, and two-time Conservative London Mayoral candidate, Steven Norris.

There is exactly one month to go to our annual event at City Hall, with tickets going fast.

This is without a doubt our best line up for an evening that keeps growing in popularity and profile. Just take a look at the video from last year’s sell out event to see what’s in store.

Its been a great start to the New Year for us. You can help make it even better by booking your ticket today at www.landaid.org/debate2015.

Over 350 guests are expected at City Hall on 5 February, with every penny raised going directly to projects supporting disadvantaged young people across the UK.

People like Anthony, who LandAid helped by providing the funding for Circle Sports to set up a new shop in Hackney, giving him the opportunity to gain valuable work experience.

Anthony says: “Before I got involved with Circle Sports, I had never had a job. I wasn’t good at communicating with other people, and that didn’t help my prospects.

“At first, I dropped out of the Circle 13 Training Programme after two days, but they stayed in contact with me and gave me the chance to try again. This time I completed the course. I feel much more confident now and I’ve managed to get accepted onto a one year paid apprenticeship programme in customer service with De Vere.”
