LandAid brokers over £1 million worth of pro bono support

In year 1 of our new strategy, the LandAid Pro Bono Programme has brokered over £1 million in pro bono support to charities working at the forefront of tackling youth homelessness.

Thanks to the unwavering generosity and expertise of our partners across the property industry, we’ve provided more than 2,500 hours of expert support through a variety of specialist services such as, surveying, valuations and planning submissions for charity projects.

In total, 53 charity projects have been empowered by this vital support, accessing property advice and services that have transformed their projects and strengthened their capacity to make a difference. Together with our property partners, we’re creating safer, more secure futures for young people across the UK.

A note from our Strategic Projects team…

We’re proud of how the programme has evolved. The launch of our new Pro Bono webpages is making it easier than ever for partners to discover and engage with opportunities. And our new model for matching pro bono requests with corporate partners is already driving greater participation and deepening the impact of our partnerships.

This year’s achievements reflect not only the generosity of our partners, but the growing strength of collaboration across the property industry. Pro bono support has enabled charities to unlock opportunities, from securing vital planning permissions to navigating complex property challenges that directly accelerate their work to end youth homelessness. We have an exciting year ahead with a new model for matching partners to pro bono requests, ’m excited to see the Programme grow and deliver greater impact and build stronger connections with our partners.

Project Spotlight: CADOS, Mornington Hall

Thanks to LandAid’s Pro Bono Programme, CADOS received vital legal support to help save Mornington Hall from closure. This much-loved community space can now continue to serve as a safe, creative hub for hundreds of young people each week.

Our partners make this possible…

The programme provides an opportunity for businesses to build connections with the charity sector in ways that you both will benefit.

We would like to give a huge thank you to all our partners that have donated their time this past year and help us achieve this milestone.

Some key partners include; Savills, GLP Ltd and the legal firms Gowling WLG, Dentons, and Forsters LLP

Assisting charities with their commercial property issues is one of the most rewarding jobs that’s it’s my pleasure to undertake! Its frequently very interesting and unusual, and calls on all of one’s experience and expertise, but the most rewarding aspect is that the charities are so grateful for your input which makes the whole task very enjoyable.  Being able ‘give something back’ and utilise one’s talents (such as they are!) generates a ‘feel good’ factor which isn’t always present with non-charity clients!
