LandAid’s Steptober challenge is returning for a fourth year, with registration opening today, Wednesday 23 July.
Last year, 780 property professionals put on their running shoes for the LandAid QuaranTEN, and raised over £100,00 to end youth homelessness.
New campaign aims to give young people the first step out of homelessness
Today LandAid launched First Step, a new appeal to fund eight key emergency accommodation projects across England, providing homeless young people their first step out of homelessness.
LandAid has launched two virtual fundraising events for summer of 2021.The LandAid 10K and Tour De LandAid will take place on Thursday 10 June and Saturday 26 June – Sunday 18 July respectively.
As a charity, LandAid is growing
LandAid’s first ever virtual SleepOut has raised over £360,000, the funds of which will go to charity projects supporting young people experiencing homelessness, such as DHI’s East Street Mews development in the South West, St. Basils Live and Work Village 2 in the Midlands, WomenCentre in Yorkshire and Depaul’s Safestop project in the North West.
For someone who has never slept out before, the prospect of spending a night outside in the cold can be quite daunting.
LandAid, the property industry charity, has brought together 9 networks and membership organisations from across the built environment sector to help achieve its mission to end youth homelessness in its new initiative: Networks Against Homelessness.
