2023 has been a huge year for LandAid. Thank you to all our dedicated friends in the property industry that have helped us to support more young people at risk of homelessness than ever before.
LandAid and StreetSmart award grants totalling over £500,000 from the 2022 campaign to charities tackling youth homelessness across the UK. The 38 grants will support young people on their journey out of homelessness towards a brighter and more stable future.
LandAid’s latest grants funding round saw over £640,000 of support offered to youth homelessness charities across the UK. This has enabled 240 new bed spaces to be created, to support young people who have nowhere else to turn.
Youth voice is a project within St Basils, funded by LandAid, where a group of young people share their lived experiences of homelessness to bring about change. They have started their own podcast.
LandAid and StreetSmart have come together for a celebratory night to say thank you to the hospitality and property industries for their support.
LandAid has joined forces with MTVH Migration Foundation and the Tenancy Deposit Scheme to pilot a new model for improving access to the UK private rented sector for refugees, through access to rental deposits.
Landaid and Berkley Foundation, two organisations both committed to tackling youth homelessness, have partnered to fund Youth Voice, an engagement organisation within the homelessness charity, St Basils. The three-year, over £200,000 funding agreement aims to give young people who have experienced homelessness a voice and ensure their contributions are valued.
LandAid CEO, Paul Morrish, recently joined a fantastic panel of speakers for the 2023 “Connect: The National Youth Homelessness Conference” in association with Centrepoint.
