The competitive nature of Steptober can make us forget who we are doing this for. We’re doing this for the 86,000 young people in the UK who face homelessness every year, and who for this year has been especially scary and uncertain.
LandAid’s Steptober challenge is returning for a third year, with registration opening today, Wednesday 26 August.
The LandAid COVID-19 Emergency Fund has now given out £700,000 in small emergency grants of up to £10,000 to over 70 charities in every region in the UK. These funds have already made a huge difference to young homeless people.
Last Wednesday saw the end of QuaranTEN, LandAid’s first virtual walking & running event.

Today, LandAid, the property industry charity, today launches an emergency fund in response to the COVID-19 crisis, to support young homeless people and the charities that support them. The fund has so far raised £170,000 and aims to raise at least £1m over the coming months.
