The property industry has responded to LandAid's urgent two-week appeal to help those affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy and by this morning, had pledged over £170,000 to go directly to the British Red Cross's London Fire Relief Fund.
This week we visited charity partner Hope into Action: Black Country in the West Midlands, who provide supported housing for people facing homelessness in Wolverhampton. Hope into Action was awarded a LandAid grant to refurbish four shared houses in four different locations including Wolverhampton, as well as an additional home in Wolverhampton as part of our Sponsor a Home campaign.
Thanks to LandAid funding, Canopy Housing is now well on its way to bringing three empty properties back to life as affordable homes for young people at risk of homelessness in Leeds.

For the first time in 40 years a Snap General Election has been called. I recently attended the Homeless Link Strategic Policy forum, along with other leading charities in the homeless sector, to discuss how the new government should tackle homelessness post-election.
