Phil Kerry is the CEO of New Horizon Youth Centre (NHYC), a leading youth homelessness charity. Under his leadership, NHYC has transformed from a holistic service provider to young Londoners experiencing homelessness to an organisation with national change impact. His vision for change and dedication to the youth sector is inspirational. Phil spoke to LandAid CEO, Paul Morrish, about his career in the youth sector, the future of New Horizon and how tackling youth homelessness is more than just providing housing.

Lemon Leopard is a charitable community benefit society, working to establish affordable cohousing, learning, working, and caring cooperatives for young care leavers and students, elderly people and disabled people.

Falcon Support Services is a Leicestershire charity that has been helping those experiencing homelessness and those in need find independence through housing and community support for over 20 years.

Justlife Charitable Foundation runs services in both Manchester and Brighton and has become a leading organisation for researching, advocating for and working with vulnerable people living in temporary accommodation.

The cost of living crisis. Currently, a phrase which is difficult to escape from. Costs are rising across basic necessities, like food and fuel, and the knock-on effect that this is having on labour market issues is worsening. With winter fast approaching, concerns are heightening. We spoke to Lynn Gradwell, Director of Young People and Care Leaver Services at Look Ahead, about the cost of living crisis and how it is starting to affect them.  

Manchester based Ambassador; Gemma Copp from Buttress Architects has kindly provided us with a brilliant overview of her experience visiting Shelter from the Storm, a free emergency night shelter in London providing for people experiencing homelessness.  

A homelessness project for young woman, which opened over 40 years ago, has received a much-needed renovation thanks to almost £100K of grants and pro bono work from property industry charity LandAid and building consultants Bowman Riley.

BAME in Property and LandAid, have come together to talk about the impact of periods on women facing homelessness to raise awareness for World Menstrual Hygiene Day.
