New campaign aims to give young people the first step out of homelessness
LandAid has launched two virtual fundraising events for summer of 2021.The LandAid 10K and Tour De LandAid will take place on Thursday 10 June and Saturday 26 June – Sunday 18 July respectively.
LandAid’s first ever virtual SleepOut has raised over £360,000, the funds of which will go to charity projects supporting young people experiencing homelessness, such as DHI’s East Street Mews development in the South West, St. Basils Live and Work Village 2 in the Midlands, WomenCentre in Yorkshire and Depaul’s Safestop project in the North West.
LandAid, the property industry charity, is calling on property professionals across the country to brave one night outside and SleepOut At Home on Thursday 11 March, to prevent young people having to do the same, every night.
LandAid, the property industry charity, has launched an appeal for the industry to support young people experiencing homelessness through the winter. Across the country over 100,000 young people are facing homelessness each year, but together we can change this.
New research, ‘We Have a Voice, Follow Our Lead’, has been published by Homeless Link, the membership organisation for homelessness charities.
LandAid’s, the property industry charity, Steptober challenge saw 848 participants take more than 16million steps over the last two weeks raising over £105,000 to end youth homelessness.
LandAid’s Steptober challenge is returning for a third year, with registration opening today, Wednesday 26 August.
The LandAid COVID-19 Emergency Fund has now given out £700,000 in small emergency grants of up to £10,000 to over 70 charities in every region in the UK. These funds have already made a huge difference to young homeless people.
