Community Swimming organisation seeks pro bono support to redevelop their charity website

Faversham Pools is looking for pro bono marketing support to transform its online presence. Their current website, while functional, is now outdated and falls short of user expectations. Navigation is clunky, formatting is not intuitive, and it lacks effective tools for taking online donations — an important and growing aspect of their charity model.

They are seeking support to help redevelop the website with an improved user experience, visual refresh, and better functionality to reflect their unique offer: a multi-pool complex including Kent’s only year-round outdoor pool, cold-water swimming options, and the last remaining UK outdoor pool with 1m, 3m and 5m diving boards.

The charity hopes a refreshed website will serve as a stronger first impression for customers, supporters, and donors, ultimately increasing bookings, attendance, and financial contributions. With a target completion date of July 2024, they are keen to work with a web professional who understands the importance of accessibility, clear navigation, and community branding.

About the organisation

Faversham Pools is a registered charity operating a multi-pool complex in the heart of Faversham. As a much-loved community hub, the pools promote physical, mental and emotional wellbeing through swimming and education. They attract up to 200,000 annual visits and support local employment, tourism and schools — including delivering swimming lessons for 25 primary schools under the national curriculum.

The Pools also run a Swim School reaching over 700 children and adults every week, and offer accessible swimming classes and opportunities for all ages and abilities. They are a cornerstone of the local community, committed to making swimming safe, affordable and inclusive, and to promoting active, healthy lifestyles in Faversham and the surrounding areas.
