What do they need help with?
Founded in 2012, Micro Rainbow is the leading not-for-profit organisation in the UK supporting LGBTQI refugees who flee persecution and seek safety in the UK. The charity’s holistic approach focuses on three key pillars: safe housing, social inclusion, and employability support. This integrated model ensures LGBTQI refugees are not only safe but are also able to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
Micro Rainbow has become a pioneering force in creating the UK’s first national safe housing scheme for LGBTQI refugees, providing over 30,000 bed-nights a year. Each year, more than 1,200 LGBTQI asylum seekers receive essential support from the charity.
Currently, Micro Rainbow is seeking pro bono support to carry out a valuation of seven of its safe houses located in different regions of the UK. These houses provide critical accommodation for LGBTQI refugees and are based in London (3 houses), Telford (2 houses), Solihull (1 house), and Cardiff (1 house). The valuation will help the charity ensure the properties are appropriately managed and maintained, allowing them to continue providing safe housing for those who need it most.
