What do they need help with?

CAYSH is seeking pro bono support in communications or marketing to help enhance its approach to building meaningful partnerships with corporate organisations. The charity is looking to gain insight into how large companies think about and deliver their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments. They are keen to learn the language businesses use when discussing CSR, so they can avoid “charity-speak” and instead present themselves as a valuable partner.

The goal is to develop a stronger, more collaborative approach to engaging businesses, which will help CAYSH create new projects, volunteering opportunities and secure additional funding.

The support CAYSH is seeking will involve two key stages. The first will be a scoping meeting of around one hour, where they can discuss and refine what they would like to achieve. The second will be a coaching session, estimated at two hours, where the pro bono partner will provide tailored guidance and insight into CSR communication strategies.

This support will play an important role in helping CAYSH develop long-term, impactful relationships with the corporate sector that benefit young people experiencing homelessness.

About the organisation

CAYSH is a well-established youth homelessness charity that has been operating in South London for over 40 years. The charity provides vital services to young people and care leavers experiencing homelessness, supporting them towards greater independence.

CAYSH’s work includes supported accommodation, floating support and Lodgings services where young people live with members of the public. They also offer counselling and employability support, helping young people build brighter futures. In 2024–25, CAYSH supported 274 young people, helped 13 into employment, provided counselling to 61 people, and enabled 80% of those who left their accommodation to move on to greater independence.

CAYSH also runs a social enterprise, CAYSH Enterprise, providing concierge security to supported accommodation across London. In 2024–25, this service supported 396 vulnerable adults, with all profits reinvested to further the charity’s mission.
