What do they need help with?

KORI Youth Charity is seeking support to find a suitable office and community delivery space in the Islington and Hornsey area of north east London, broadly between Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace.

The charity currently provides preventative youth services for young people who may be at risk of poor outcomes, offering a safe and supportive environment where they can access mentoring, wellbeing support, creative activities and opportunities to build confidence and skills.

KORI recently invested significant time and resources into tendering for a two-year tenure at a municipal community centre that supported a range of community activities. However, the process was unsuccessful, and the charity is now exploring alternative options with housing providers and community venues. Current options have either been unsuitable due to cost or location.

KORI is looking for a property partner who can help identify a suitable space that enables the charity to continue and grow its work. The preferred arrangement would provide access three days per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday), approximately 10am–8pm.

The ideal venue would include:

  • Office space for 5–10 staff members and volunteers
  • A delivery space for weekly youth hub sessions, supporting up to 15 young people alongside a team of up to five staff members
  • A small breakout room for counselling and one-to-one sessions with young people and families
  • A meeting space for trustee board meetings (up to 15 people, four times per year)
  • Dedicated toilet and/or shower facilities

Additional features that would enhance the space include outdoor space, gardens or access to green space, and areas suitable for community events, fundraising activities and supporter engagement events.

KORI is looking for support to identify a sustainable space that will allow it to continue strengthening the foundations of young people’s lives and help prevent them from reaching crisis point.
