LandAid’s £75,000 grant will help renovate a homeless hostel building in Leicester to create 25 new bed spaces which are modern and fit for people who have been street homeless. £30,000 of the grant was provided by Mace and Turley.
The new accommodation will follow ‘Housing First’ principles. Action Homeless believes that only by giving someone the security of a permanent home can they leave homelessness behind and move forward in their lives.
