Cardinal Hume’s young people are a high-risk group. Many of the team themselves had to self-isolate, which was challenging for the centre.
Phase 1
LandAid’s £9,830 grant went to emergency staff costs in order to maintain 24-hour staffing to their residential facility. This ensured that the young people feel supported and cared for, both day and night.
Phase 2
This £2,400 phase two grant was used to provide laptops for young people at the Cardinal Hume Centre to enable them to complete college work, make employment applications and to support any required self-isolation.
