LandAid’s £13,500 grant will enable the charity to renovate and convert a three-bedroom house into a one-bed flat and two-bed flat to create three bed spaces for young people who are ready to leave 24-hour supported accommodation.
The support workers will also teach the young residents independent living skills: cooking, budgeting, personal care and healthy lifestyles, support to attend meetings and appointments, emotional support, where necessary, and outings and activities to build confidence and social skills.
