SAY Women- Move On Grant

SAY Women was established in 1991 in response to CHAR research, that found 4 in 10 young women’s homelessness was a result of  sexual abuse.

Cost of the project

£4000

Location

Glasgow, UK

SAY Women’s support young women by offering semi-independent living in their Accommodation Project, alongside support to prepare for a more independent lifestyle, and looking at the difficulties surrounding their childhood sexual abuse. They work towards moving women into their own tenancy, while offering ongoing emotional and mental health support at their Resource Service, as well as groupwork, events, activities and practical support.

The grant from LandAid will fund a new pilot move on project to support 4 young people transitioning into independent accommodation. This will give women autonomy to make their own choices while also freeing up supported bedspaces.
