The impact of COVID-19 had been overwhelming on YMCA Dulverton Group, and they predicted that their issues would only grow and intensify. Many of the young people and families they support were falling into food poverty, and needed help and support to ensure they are able to isolate.
Phase 1
LandAid’s £8,820 grant provided 105 food parcels and cooked meals per day for the next 12 weeks.
Phase 2
This £17,538 phase two grant was spent to furnish a leased new suite of accommodation in Weston-Super-Mare. The accommodation provided self-contained units of living space to 17 young people who had previously been unsuitably housed, or had care placements break down during the pandemic, and were currently in temporary placements.
