Skye’s story
Skye faced homelessness at the age of 16 due to a lack of family support. Thankfully, Skye received care and support from LandAid’s charity partner, Hope into Action.
Every four minutes, a young person in the UK becomes homeless. Thousands more go uncounted, sleeping in unsafe accommodation, on friends’ sofas, or on the streets. The numbers are increasing at an alarming rate, with 136,000 16-25 year olds experiencing homelessness last year alone. With each passing minute, another young person grapples with the uncertainty of where they will sleep tonight.
This winter, we need the industry to rally together and tackle this crisis by raising £1.36 million to support the thousands of young people facing homelessness right now. Imagine if this was your child, your niece, or a young person you know.
Your support can make a real difference, providing safe, affordable accommodation and equipping young people with employability skills to help them secure stable housing.

Alexis was 19 when she was thrown out of her home for being transgender. She began to sofa-surf, seeking short refuge at the homes of friends and even began to use dating apps to find somewhere to stay.
