My time as an intern at LandAid has been both educational and rewarding in equal measure. While homelessness is an issue which has always been important to me, I did not appreciate how my knowledge of the subject would completely transform after working for the property industry charity. I could write a book on my experiences and how much I've learnt! But here are my top five take home' messages which should hopefully provide a snapshot of my time working for LandAid.

Last night, Thursday the 1 March, the first day of spring, I slept a lot rougher than I normally do. And I did so with over 200 other people similarly unaccustomed to sleeping outdoors in sub-zero temperatures.

LandAid's first ever SleepOut for LandAid House sponsored by Hammerson and Knight Frank has raised an incredible £269,000 including Gift Aid, every penny of which will go to City YMCA London to rebuild their former Errol Street hostel near Old Street, Islington.

LandAid, the property industry charity, is funding two innovative modular housing projects to provide eight new homes for young people at risk of homelessness in the South-West. They will be the first modular housing projects LandAid has funded.

JLL sponsored a home with LandAid, bringing an empty property managed by Latch back to life as safe acommodation for homeless young people.
