Thursday 30 November saw the second ever instalment of the LandAid Awards take place – bringing over 100 individuals from the property industry and charity sector together, for an evening of both reflection and celebration.

Richard Rees, Managing Director at Savills (UK) Limited and Head of National Development Services, has joined LandAid’s Board of Trustees.

Esteemed senior leaders from across the property industry have assembled for the first time to officially launch brand new LandAid Scotland board.

A new initiative to make it easier for small charities to access free professional support has been launched during Small Charity Week by 19 organisations, all members of the UK Pro Bono Association.  LandAid are proud to be one of these charities. 

It is with great sadness that we announce that Kevin Hunter, LandAid’s Head of Programmes & Impact, father to El and husband to Helen, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday 20 May, following a short battle with cancer.

Since April 1, LandAid’s Deputy Chief Executive (DCEO), Alice Lamb, has added a formidable, additional cog to her wheels, following her appointment to Director of Operations.  

LandAid’s biggest ever SleepOut has seen nearly 1,300 property professionals from across the UK come together to raise over £500,000 to support young people experiencing homelessness.

Gemma Copp, Architect from Buttress Architects in Manchester talks about her role as a LandAid Ambassador, the upcoming 2023 SleepOut, why ending youth homelessness is so important to her, through her own lived experience, and how the property industry can play a vital role in providing young vulnerable people with safe and secure places to call home.
