One YMCA enables people to develop their full potential in body, mind and spirit. Inspired by, and faithful to their Christian values, they create supportive and energising communities that are open to all, where young people can truly belong, contribute and thrive.

One YMCA has served the communities in Hertfordshire for 135 years and reaches 1000’s of people each day. They work with all ages, faiths and backgrounds, as part of a global network of 14,000 YMCAs.

They deliver a range of programmes and services that tackle the issues facing local people and ensure that there are opportunities for young people throughout their work, from apprentices to work experience and childcare to youthwork.

The diverse range of services, programmes and initiatives that they offer in order to support their local communities to belong, contribute, and thrive, include:

  • Support & Advice – including Youth Work, Chaplaincy and Therapeutic & Specialist services
  • Accommodation – four hostels and provision of supported living facilities
  • Family Work – Early Childhood Partnership and Hertfordshire Family Centre Services
  • Health & Wellbeing –  gyms and community HUBs that are vital to improve the lives of their community
  • Training & Education – their nurseries and early lives education programmes.
  • Woodlands Café – their exciting new Woodlands Café in Leavesden Country Park.

One YMCA Place & Environment team are innovating how they manage, maintain and improve their Property Portfolio. The day-to-day management systems are currently inadequate with non- purposeful processes and minimal data output.

They require a bespoke, robust and user-friendly ticketing system with multifunctionality to track, monitor and change how they manage remedial work and larger repairs alongside understanding customer satisfaction.

This list is not exhaustive; however a phase discovery of this work is currently underway internally to explore potential systems.

One YMCA would be grateful for offers of pro bono services to identify system options and potentially to support with the implementation of the selected software.
