About the Organisation
Falcon Support Services (FSS) works across Leicestershire, to improve the lives of those who are most excluded in society. They provide supported accommodation and community projects to those that are homeless, at risk of homelessness and/or vulnerable in their communities.
FSS has over 100 bed spaces across 14 sites in Loughborough and Northwest Leicestershire. The Falcon Centre is at the heart of their offer and complements the range of 2-10 bed supported houses and flats.
FSS also hold Community Drop-Ins, which are held daily in Loughborough (at the Falcon Centre) as well as across four other locations in Leicestershire. They address social isolation, improve health, and help to reduce homelessness.
In 2023, the number of people they supported across their accommodation and community services grew by 54% to 1679 beneficiaries.

Falcon Support Services are in the process of purchasing a former hotel with the support of an investor. The plan is to transform the property into supported accommodation, with a drop-in centre in the basement space. Renovations are needed throughout the property, with the aim to also convert the 15-bed property into a 20-bed property. The terms of lease have been agreed and the sale is subject to contract. Planning permission has also been approved by the council.
The charity require pro bono support with the following:
- Structural surveys–To support the acquisition of the property. This would ideally include specialist surveys to check for fire safety, asbestos etc.
- Project Management–To provide an initial consultation and help to establish the required stages of the project, and ideally to offer ongoing guidance and advise throughout the project.
There is also scope for further support as the project progresses-including Architecture, Quantity Surveyors, Planning and Structural Engineers etc.
