About the Organisation

https://www.bcwa.org.uk/

Laleham Park Hub (LPH) is a new charity organisation, with the innovative ambition to build a community café and hub in Laleham Park on the site of the demolished sports pavilion.
They are currently proposing building a community hub on the site, including a café with toilets, changing rooms, showers, and a flexible community space. The community hub aims to support mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing in an outdoor setting. The hub will serve as a place for community support, but also collaborating with local charities and organisations. The building will also be designed with the latest green technology.

Laleham Park Hub is passionate about community, environmental impact and sustainability.
This could be a great opportunity to be part of something that provides far reaching benefits to the Spelthorne community.

Request details:

The land LPH wish to use is owned by Spelthorne Council. LPH intend to lease the land, but own and manage the building.  Spelthorne Council have provided a positive response to their proposal and recognise how this could support their corporate strategy going forward.

The chairty has limited legal experience internally and on their board and they urgently require legal support to take this proposal to the next stage, helping them to confirm the heads of terms and establish a lease. This is currently beyond their financial means and is a major obstacle to the advancement of their project.

Therefore, LPH are seeking pro bono support from a law firm to guide them through the whole process of establishing their process and negotiating with the local authority.
