About the Organisation

New Horizon Youth Centre

New Horizon Youth Centre (“NHYC”) is a day centre working with young people who are vulnerable, homeless or at risk. We aim to enable young people to gain skills and knowledge to improve their life chances and to help them move from adolescence into adulthood.

New Horizon Youth Centre is a vital support network for 16–24 year-olds with nowhere else to go. We work with some very disadvantaged young people, many of whom have poor self-esteem, low confidence, a history of rejection, harm and abuse and often carry profoundly negative experiences of organisations, structures and the helping professions generally.

Our day centre is a ‘one stop shop’ offering activities and services to improve the wellbeing and circumstances of young people in need, available in person, over the telephone or online.

We offer help with:

  • Accommodation
  • Employment, Education and Training
  • Personal Development
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Prison and Outreach

For as long as young people are homeless and under-served in London, we will be on a mission to give their potential a home.

NHYC is seeking new premises. They are looking to expand their offerings to young people, by sourcing an additional accessible community hub space. Therefore the charity is seeking some pro bono support to help source a secure contained space within the Camden Borough, specifically the Somers Town area, NW1. Their Head Office is currently based at NW1 1JR, and so ideally the new site would be within walking distance/ or have really good transport links to this postcode. The new venue would also ideally be approximately 1000sqm.
