About the Organisation
Help Counselling offers low-cost, short & long-term talking therapies both face-to-face in London and online. The services grew out of a recognition that private therapy can be very unaffordable, whilst free to use services often entail a lengthy wait time. Help counselling seek to change this, offering sessions starting from £25. On average they support between 250-280 people each year with clients attending between 22-33 sessions.
Additionally, the organisation provides a 12-month training placement for therapists and clinical supervisors. All clinicians studying for professional qualifications leading to registration and accreditation with the industry professional bodies, must gain a defined number of clinical experience hours to qualify. They take students from some of the best courses in the UK.
Currently Help Counselling has 90+ counsellors and approximately 20 supervisors (including assessors who evaluate clients before they start seeing clients).
