About the Organisation

www.creativeyouthnetwork.org.uk

Creative Youth Network traces its origins back to 1748 in Kingswood, where a school was established for local colliers’ children on what is now the Kingswood Estate. Creative Youth Network operates across Bristol and South Gloucestershire, working in some of the most deprived communities to reach and support young people who need it most. Most of its services are delivered from their Kingswood Estates site, as well as through their newly built hub, called The Courts.

The organization exists to help young people, regardless of their barriers or circumstances, to reach their full potential. In 2024, Creative Youth Network worked with 2,191 young people, with approximately 75% coming from extremely vulnerable backgrounds.

The charity supports young people in achieving key outcomes identified by the Young Foundation as essential for long-term success. These include improved self-confidence, better physical and mental health, skill development, and fostering positive relationships. In the first three quarters of 2024, a total of 2,737 positive outcomes were recorded across 125,481 session attendances.

Creative Youth Network’s commitment to high-quality youth work was recently recognized by the National Youth Agency (NYA), making it the first organization in England to receive an ‘Outstanding’ accreditation.

Request details:

Creative Youth Network is seeking pro bono support for two of its buildings: Kingswood Estate and The Courts. As a charity, it is fortunate to own the buildings that not only provide space for service delivery but also generate essential income. For the charity.

The Courts, a newly established creative enterprise hub for young people, officially opened in June 2024. The organisation urgently requires pro bono support to update the valuation of The Courts. The current estimated value is believed to be approximately 70% below its true worth, as the last valuation was conducted before the building’s extensive regeneration.
