About the Organisation
Established in 1982, Four Square supports people in Edinburgh facing homelessness, assisting over 1,000 individuals each year. The organisation provides:
- Specialist support for young people (16-25 years old) experiencing homelessness, offering 45 dedicated bed spaces.
- Specialist support for women fleeing domestic abuse and gender-based violence, with 20 safe bed spaces.
- Community-based support for individuals struggling to find employment after homelessness and those at risk of becoming homeless.
Four Square operates across seven sites in Edinburgh, employing 120 staff members. The organisation also offers placements for students in counselling and social work degree programs, as well as volunteering opportunities.
Social Enterprise & Financials
Four Square runs a re-use furniture shop and community café, which generate income while providing work and volunteering opportunities for those experiencing homelessness.
A Unique Approach
Four Square believes in providing more than just shelter. The organisation is committed to offering high-quality homes and meaningful employment, ensuring people move forward with dignity rather than relying on benefits or low-paid jobs.
Request details:

1) A Valuation of the 11-bed property.
In addition to this request, an opportunity has also arisen for Four Square to purchase the site from which they run their social enterprise. Therefore they are seeking further pro bono support to help facilitate the acquisition and determine a figure for a Capital Fundraising Initiative:
