The Krystal Klear Foundation is a UK-based charity committed to promoting mental health and well-being through creative and practical therapeutic services. Through a range of activities such as art, music, and horticultural therapy, the foundation provides inclusive support to individuals facing mental health challenges.

The foundation focuses on empowering people to overcome barriers that may lead to isolation or criminal behaviour, emphasizing social inclusion and community building.

Its mission also includes addressing the root causes of crime by offering educational workshops that promote self-care, mental health awareness, and personal development. These workshops not only provide therapeutic benefits but also equip participants with life skills that enhance their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

By encouraging open conversations around mental health, the Krystal Klear Foundation aims to dismantle stigma, fostering a more inclusive and understanding society.

Community outreach is a cornerstone of the foundation’s work. Through events and awareness campaigns, it engages local communities by providing tools to recognise and address mental health challenges. The foundation’s programs are designed to reach those who might otherwise fall through the cracks, ensuring everyone has access to the support needed to thrive.

Overall, the Krystal Klear Foundation is dedicated to creating safer, more connected communities by addressing mental health issues, promoting social inclusion, and reducing crime. It envisions a society where mental health is prioritised, and every individual has the opportunity to overcome barriers and lead a fulfilling life.

As the Foundation expands its impactful work, it requires a strategic physical space to centralise its diverse programs.

The organisation is therefore seeking pro bono support with a Property and land search for the following vision:

A dynamic Hampshire based hub that facilitates the delivery of therapeutic services, community engagement, and sustainable support for its charitable endeavours. A Class E premises is identified as a vital asset for achieving this goal.

Ideal Premises Requirements

The Foundation is seeking a Class E designated property ranging from 2,500 to 4,000 square feet. The flexibility of a Class E property is essential, enabling seamless integration of multiple functions under one roof without frequent planning permission requirements for changes of use.

Proposed Multi-Faceted Usage Within the Class E Framework:

  1. Dedicated Retail Unit:
To operate a front-facing retail space selling merchandise that supports the Foundation’s mission, including products created through therapy programs (such as art pieces) or goods promoting well-being. This unit will generate vital funds and serve as a welcoming community contact point.
  1. Secure Storage Facilities:
To store equipment related to therapy sessions (art supplies, musical instruments, horticultural tools), event materials, and retail inventory, ensuring efficient and organized operations.
  1. Educational & Therapeutic Offices/Studios:
To house core therapeutic and educational activities, including offices for counselling and therapy sessions (art therapy, music production therapy, horticultural therapy), administrative functions, and spaces for workshops and training on mental health awareness, skill-building, and community development.
  1. On-Site Dining Café:
A welcoming café space designed to serve as a community gathering point, offering refreshments and light meals for visitors, program participants, and staff. This space will foster social interaction and provide informal meeting opportunities while generating revenue for the Foundation.
  1. Flexible Internal Event Space:
A significant portion of the premises will be designed for multi-purpose use to host a variety of internal events critical to community engagement and fundraising. Activities may include:
  • Live art demonstrations showcasing creative expression
  • Competitions engaging the community in skill-based challenges
  • Exhibitions displaying artwork from therapy programs, community projects, or local artists, promoting talent and mental health dialogue
This flexibility enables smooth transitions between workshops, public events, and community meetings.
  1. Potential Tattoo Studio:
As an innovative extension, the inclusion of a professionally run tattoo studio within the Class E framework is under consideration. This could serve as:
  • A social enterprise generating revenue to support the Foundation’s charitable work
  • A creative outlet offering a professional space for artistic expression and career development for participants
  • A community engagement platform reaching broader demographics, with potential art-based workshops or themed sessions linked to mental health awareness
